Clean offshore conditions throughout the morning with a south-wind change coming up the coast during evening. Banks are a touch straight and tending to close out on the shallow afternoon low tide.
Swell from the south at 1 to 1.5m. Winds light north to north-west tending east before freshening south. Incoming tide for the early with banks off The Alley, Cliff, Dixon and Merewether.
Flatrock and Bar Reef on high tide. Burwood, Dudley and Frenchmans to the south. One Mile and Birubi up at Port Stephens. Sweeps in southern corners causing Merewether to close for swimming. Shorebreaks sanding up and gutters forming. Water temperature 15C. -Dave Anderson
