BEACH WATCH
Big and messy surf and a long period of large swell hitting the coast again for today. Low pressure off to the east causing strong onshore wind flow. All beaches are out of control and only a few select sheltered breaks handling condtions. Swell from the South at 3 to 4m. Wind out of the S/W to South tending E/E late. Locally the harbour on the run out tide will be popular. Strong sweeps making for extremely hard paddle to get out off Merewether. Norah Head and Terrigal to the south and Seals rocks to the north offering some protection. A lot of erosion after the bigger evening tides and best to stay out of surf today. Water temp 18C. - Dave Anderson
