Big and messy conditions with rain and onshore winds again for today. The large and powerful surf is resculpting the beaches and pushing a lot of sand into the southern corners. Swell from the East at 3 to 4m. Wind strong East to N/E easing by the afternoon. Beaches to remain closed and most breaks out of control with big windswept waves. Late morning 2m high tide should see the swell peak. Protected breaks like the Harbour are sure to be popular. Seals Rocks to the north. Strong sweeps running to the south and dangerous on rocks. Ocean Bathes closed during the mornings big tides and erosion likely. Water temp 21C.- Dave Anderson

Rain and showers heavy at times offshore north of Norah Head. The chance of a thunderstorm. Caution Large and powerful surf conditions are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing.
