BEACHWATCH
Onshore wind flow set to continue with a strong high pressure system in the Tasman. Surf conditions remain a little uneven as direction not lining up with most of the local beach breaks.
Swell from the south-east at 1 to 1.8m. Winds freshening out of the north to north-east. Tides low first up and try the northern corners for some cleaner breaks. Newcastle Beach off The Alley and South Bar the better option. Redhead, Frenchmans and North Catho to the south. Birubi and Treachery to the north.
Warmer current and sweeps in the southern corners on the lower tides. Nobbys, Bar Beach and Merewether patrolled for swimming. Water temperature 17C.-Dave Anderson
