Not as much smoke haze with freshening sea breezes throughout the afternoon.
Swell has dropped and swung more to the east. Morning's low tide best to surf, as the midday high to fill most beaches. Swell from the east to south-east at around 1m. Wind north to north-west tending north-east. Change in direction to suit the northern corners and some shorebreaks. First up Bar Beach and South Bar.
Cliff and Merewether shorebreaks mid morning. Redhead, Frenchmans and Moonie to the south. Birubi up at Port Stephens.Cooler current and slight sweeps running to the southern corners which are sanding up.
