It's already one of Newcastle's most popular bars but Pleased To Meet You is going to add another string to its bow with the launch of a new outdoor garden.
A veritable Aladdin's cave for gin lovers, the High Bridge haunt has established itself as one of the city centre's busiest drinking dens and is up for two titles at the first Newcastle Loves awards.
And its owners are hoping for some fine weather in the next few weeks as they are planning an al fresco soiree to launch PTMY's new outdoor gartden.
New features of the existing outdoor area will include fixed seating booths with a canopy overhead, wall mounted heaters and planters.
And the revamped area will be revealed in style with a massive gin themed Good Friday Garden Party to kick start Easter weekend on April 19 from 4pm.
On the day, they’ll be joining forces with renowned Northumberland distillers Hepple Gin to create perfect gin and tonic serves and an array of cocktails from a pop-up Hepple Bar.
There will also be brand ambassadors giving out samples of the Hepple Gin range and guiding you through the complexity and taste of the spirt.
As well as all this, there will also be a BBQ, a Rock Oyster bar and an outdoor DJ providing the soundtrack to the day playing the best of soul, funk and disco.
In the run up to the launch, Pleased to Meet You will also be giving away a bottle of Hepple Gin a day via Facebook. The competition goes live on Monday, April 14.
