Newcastle bar launches a Vegan Hanging Kebab and it looks amazing

With Veganuary now a huge deal in the UK, a number of places are seeing in the New Year with the launch of some new vegan products and among them is a very eyecatching dish which has been added to the menu of a Newcastle bar.

Famed for its hanging kebabs, The Botanist has just launched a vegan version, made with Tofurkey Sausage and served with peppers, fries and maple BBQ to pour over it.

The new kebab is priced at £11.95 but will be available for much cheaper as the city centre haunt is offering 40% off all food in January.

James Scott, Executive Chef at The Botanist and The New World Trading Company comments: “Our Hanging Kebabs™ have been a much-loved staple of our menu for close to 10 years now. Our chefs love grilling them almost as much as our guests enjoy eating them. We aim to showcase that kebabs can and should be eaten at the pub; not just after it.”

“We reviewed our entire vegan offering across our brands, and it was only natural this would lead to a vegan version of our most loved dish. I’m excited for even more people to be able to enjoy our kebabs.”
