It's one of the most highly anticipated events in the WWE calendar and a Newcastle bar is going all out for the SummerSlam by staying open into the early hours and getting an extend licence to serve alcohol.
For the first time since its opening over two years ago, city centre bar Billy Bootleggers, on Nelson Street, will host a wrestling themed event which will see the SummerSlam air on a big screen from 10pm all the way through to 5am and there will be food and drink available throughout, with offers including £10 offers on wings and fries combos.
Billy Bootleggers director Elliot Towsey said "Billy is known for his generosity and he's done it again offering to show the WWE SummerSlam on the big screen as part of our free viewing party.
"He's also willing to stay up all night until the early hours when it finishes thanks to our late licence. We would recommend booking tables but absolutely no body slamming each other into them.'
