Arsenal's first game after the Premier League winter break is against Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium a week on Sunday.
The two sides will go into the fixture separated by one place in the table, but locked on 31 points.
Trips to the Emirates haven't been too successful for the Magpies of late, with their last win away at Arsenal coming at the beginning of the last decade when Andy Carroll netted the only goal of the game.
And there's some worrying news for United fans even with the game against the Gunners still over 10 days away.
Striker Joelinton - who netted the winner on the Magpies' previous visit to north London this season, lasted just 37 minutes of the FA Cup fourth round replay win over Oxford United on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian was seen struggling early in the game and after putting the visitors 2-0 up on the half hour mark at the Kassam Stadium he was seen holding his stomach.
He was substituted shortly before half-time and could be a doubt for the game against Arsenal.
It has since been confirmed by Steve Bruce - as per the Chronicle - that Joelinton suffered an upper body injury and the worry is that he has a cracked rib.
Speaking ahead of his side's FA Cup fourth round replay, Bruce did say he's hopeful of having Andy Carroll, Dwight Gayle and Yoshinori Muto available against the Gunners.
"We have got no alternative in terms of selection," he said, as per the Chronicle. "We are still missing seven or eight.
"We will have to get them ready for Arsenal.
"Hopefully the front three will be back for that. Jonjo Shelvey will be touch and go by then, we have missed him in the last few weeks.
"Jetro Willems and Paul Dummett will miss the rest of the season, and Ki Sung-Yeung has obviously left us."
