Newcastle and Gateshead will host two triathlon races in August organised by Steve Cram's events team.
Events of the North's , with running, cycling and duathlon races along Gateshead and Newcastle's Quayside.
In 2020, Try on the Tyne's founders Steve Cram and Allison Curbishley have expanded the event to include two triathlon races, which will start with swims in Leazes Park Lake.
Cintra TRY on the Tyne will return to Newcastle and Gateshead in 2020 with 5k and 10k runs, duathlons, a family athletics event, and for the first time, the addition of ‘sprint’ and ‘super sprint’ triathlons in the heart of the city.
The swims will take place in Leazes Park Lake, before a bike section on closed roads, finishing with a run along the banks of the Tyne.
Sponsored by North East firm Cintra HR and Payroll Services, TRY on the Tyne will be held on August 22 and August 23.
It is being organised by Events of the North in partnership with Newcastle City Council and Gateshead Council.
