Newcastle and ex-Motherwell keeper gets Ronan Keating backing after hilarious initiation song

Former Motherwell goalkeeper Mark Gillespie has caught the attention of Irish singer Ronan Keating with his initiation song at new club Newcastle.

Gillespie made a dream move from Fir Park to St James' Park in the summer to join his boyhood club on a free transfer.

And it seems like he's settling in well!

Team-mate Sean Longstaff recorded the 28-year-old's initiation song - Keating's 2000 hit 'Life Is A Rollercoaster' - in all it's glory and Gillespie made such an impression, he even got the seal of approval from the man himself.

After the video caught his attention on Twitter, the former Boyzone star tweeted: "Love it. Go Mark."

And Gillespie replied: "Thanks. Let me know if you need any help on the 11th when you're back in Newcastle."
