Newcastle and Everton 'explore' Donny van de Beek option and more Manchester United transfer rumours

Donny van de Beek is reportedly wanted by Premier League clubs Everton and Newcastle United as they monitor the Manchester United midfielder's situation.

The Dutchman has struggled to become a regular fixture in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side since his move from Ajax, with his presence on the bench a continued mystery.

With players around the United dressing room growing frustrated with the manager's lack of rotation with Van de Beek being one of those growing agitated by his lack of playing time.

ESPN's sources have revealed that the 24-year-old is said to be actively seeking to explore his options in the upcoming January transfer window with the Toffees and the Magpies circling.

Rafa Benitez's side were reportedly keen on a deadline day move for Van de Beek but that rumour was debunked by Solskjaer, however, with Eddie Howe recently entering the fray at St James' Park and with their healthy cash injection, they are exploring avenues for the United man.

Meanwhile, Paul Pogba's former side Juventus have been forced to accept they are unlikely to bring back the Frenchman on a free transfer in the summer.

Pogba, who is still serving a three-match ban for a red card against Liverpool, limped out of Didier Deschamps' training session as France qualified for the 2022 Qatar World Cup this week and could be out for up to 10 weeks.

His contract will expire at the end of the season and in the coming months will be allowed to negotiate his next pastures as his deal dwindles down.

Caught Offside report that Massimiliano Allegri's side are "resigned" to missing out on their former midfielder as they continue to balance their books but are struggling to offload Wales international Aaron Ramsey.

PSG and Real Madrid are said to be interested in acquiring the 28-year-old.
