Newcastle United agree Danny Rose loan extension with Tottenham

Newcastle United have agreed a short-term extension to Danny Rose's loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international is now clear to play in July and potentially the start of August in the event of United reaching the FA Cup final.

Rose joins Valentino Lazaro in committing to a short extension after a deal was struck with Inter Milan last week.

United are now hoping to agree extensions for Andy Carroll and Javier Manquillo but due to the contract dispute with Matty Longstaff a question mark is hanging over the midfielder's future involvement with his deal due to expire on June 30.

Rose joined United from Spurs until the end of the season when a £1.8million loan fee was agreed between the two clubs.

Steve Bruce has made it clear he would like to sign Rose on a permanent basis with the former Sunderland loanee set to make up his mind at the end of the campaign.
