Wilfried Zaha was brought down by DeAndre Yedlin late on in the box and the Serb scored his 11th goal of the season to clinch a smash-and-grab victory for Roy Hodgson's side.
Newcastle had won five games in a row at home and it was no surprise to see them come out of the blocks early on, with Fabian Schar missing two early chances.

The towering striker was proving to be a handful for the Palace backline and he should have broken the deadlock on the half-hour mark after getting on the end of a DeAndre Yedlin cross but missed the target with a close-range header.

The second half was more scrappy as the midfield cancelled each other out and a serious injury to Florian Lejeune disrupted the play.

Wilfried Zaha cut inside Yedlin and the American clipped the winger with a clumsy challenge, leaving the referee with no option but to award a penalty. Milivojevic stepped up and sent Martin Dubravka the wrong way to seal a dramatic late win for Palace, who climb to 12th.
