Newborn pygmy goat kidnapped from farm in north Dublin

A garda investigation has been launched after a newborn goat was stolen from a north Dublin farm over the weekend.

CCTV footage showed two men dressed in black breaking into the Newbridge House farm in Donabate to steal the newborn kid.

Taking to social media, the farm wrote: “On Friday night into Saturday morning, CCTV footage shows two males dressed in black, breaking into Newbridge Farm and stealing a precious newborn kid.”

“She is a female pygmy goat aged only 3 weeks old.

"If anyone has any information can they please contact the staff at Newbridge House and Farm.”

“Please share to help bring our baby home.”

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai in Swords are investigating the theft of an animal from a premises in Donabate, Co.Dublin which is believed to occurred in the early hours of Saturday, 26 February 2022.

"Investigations are ongoing."
