A nine-week old baby boy tragically died after his mum fell asleep in the same bed following a night feed.
Gillan Noad had been fed and winded by his mum Katherine Taylor at around 3am - but she fell asleep and when she woke up four hours later her son was unresponsive, an inquest heard on Wednesday.
The inquest in Taunton, Somerset, heard Gillan was born last September and was a 'well and healthy child' before his tragic death.
Dr Sam Holden, a consultant paediatric pathologist based at Southampton General Hospital, told the inquest that Katherine usually slept with Gillan's sibling in the same bed.
Dr Holden said Gillan had been fed and winded by his mum at their home in Burnham-on-Sea, Somerset, on November 16.

The pathologist said: "At this time Gillan was in bed with his mum, propped against a V shaped pillow. She fell asleep and when she woke at 7.30am Gillan was in bed and unresponsive.
The family and paramedics tried to revive the lifeless baby but his death was confirmed at a Taunton hospital.
Extensive medical tests were carried out during a post mortem but Dr Holden said Gillan's death could not be ascertained.
The senior Somerset coroner Tony Williams recorded a narrative conclusion saying that Gillan's cause of death could not be identified.
