'New Zlatan Ibrahimovic' trains with Arsenal ahead of Leeds United clash

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been taking a closer look at young striker Nikolaj Moller ahead of their Premier League clash with Leeds United.

Marcelo Bielsa's men take on the Gunners at Elland Road on Sunday, November 22, when they return to Premier League action following the international break.

With a number of players currently away with their national teams, Arteta drafted Moller to take part in first-team training this week.

The 18-year-old, who is 6ft 4in tall, has drawn comparisons to compatriot Zlatan Ibrahimovic in his native Sweden.

Why Raphinha is ready to make an impact

Moller joined Arsenal from Malmo in the summer transfer window and has already featured for the under-23s this season.

He has scored three goals in as many Premier League 2 outings - including a brace in a 6-0 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers earlier this month.

Now the teenager has been given a chance to impress, in the absence of players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe, Hector Bellerin, Kieran Tierney, Gabriel Magalhaes, Bukayo Saka and Bernd Leno.

If he does well, could he be involved against Leeds if Arteta rings the changes following the disappointing 3-0 home defeat to Aston Villa last time out?

Moller, who has also spent time in Italy with Bologna's youth set-up, told Fotboll Skane: “I feel that I am a modern striker.

“I play with few strikes, help the team, good on the head, strong, never lose duels wrong turn, difficult to take the ball away.

“In Italy, I learned a completely different attacking game. They want every player on the team to try to be the best in the world.

“They really put in the time and give you a lot of help.

“I look at football completely differently now. It used to be playing as a target player, but there is so much more.

“How to run in the box, what to do in situations there and there.”
