'Super talented': Watch the New Zealand police version of Silent Night that's gone viral

Four New Zealand police officers have charmed social media users with a double shot of Christmas cheer, thanks to vision of them singing two classic Christmas carols.

A video of the four uniformed officers performing a cappella versions of Silent Night and Winter Wonderland in a stairwell has attracted close to a quarter of a million views on Facebook, with Kiwis praising the officers' singing talents.

"Could you wish for a more fantastic police force?" one user wrote in response.

"Super talented, thanks for your hard work over the festive season and working over Christmas/New Year!" another said.

Even the police stairwell — complete with tinsel-covered handrail — was singled out for praise.

"That stairwell has some nice acoustics to compliment the awesome singing, Happy holidays NZP," a commenter wrote.

The New Zealand police force is known for its savvy social media presence, with training videos attracting international attention and a Twitter account which uses pop culture references to take a light-hearted look at police life.
