WELLINGTON (Reuters) - New Zealand's employee confidence rose to its highest level since 2018 in the first quarter, mirroring strength in the domestic economy, which has grown for 33 consecutive quarters, a survey showed on Thursday.
The Westpac-McDermott Miller employee confidence index rose to 115.9 in the first three months of the year from 113.9 in the fourth quarter of 2017.
A reading above 100 indicates more optimists than pessimists.
