New Zealand consumer confidence eases to 103.5 in second quarter - Westpac survey

WELLINGTON (Reuters) - Consumer confidence in New Zealand slipped slightly to 103.5 in the second quarter, a survey showed on Tuesday.

* The Westpac-McDermott Miller consumer confidence indexedged down from 103.8 the previous quarter. * A reading above 100 indicates more optimists thanpessimists. * The gloomy sentiment which is below average levels,indicates slowing economic growth, according to Westpaceconomists.
