WELLINGTON (Reuters) - The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is widely expected to keep its cash rate at a record low 1.75 percent at its policy review on Thursday, a Reuters poll of economists found.
All 15 economists forecast the RBNZ would hold rates on March 22 and all but two expected the bank to keep rates on hold until the end of 2018.
Six out of 14 economists thought the bank would hike rates by the end of the second quarter of 2019.
Economists were asked what the cash rate would be after the next Reserve Bank meeting on March 22 and where rates would be at the end of the following five quarters.
