WELLINGTON (Reuters) - The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) is widely expected to hold its cash rate at 1.75 percent at its monetary policy meeting next week, a Reuters poll of economists found.

All 16 economists thought the RBNZ would stand pat at its meeting on Aug. 9. All but one economist thought the bank would keep rates steady until the end of the first quarter of 2019.

Ten of the 15 analysts who made projections further than the first quarter predicted that the RBNZ would have lifted rates by the end of 2019.
