The Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) on Friday said it had asked KPMG to take "a wider view" of how the central bank manages information and suggest improvements after a cyber attack hacked its data systems earlier this month.
"The review is in addition to the forensic and criminal investigations still under way with a focus on improving systems and work practices," RBNZ Governor Adrian Orr said in a statement.
KPMG will submit its report to the central bank by the end of March.
