WELLINGTON (Reuters) - New Zealand businesses were much less pessimistic in December than in the previous month with more firms expecting an improved outlook for growth, an ANZ Bank survey showed on Tuesday.
The survey's headline measure showed a net 24.1 percent of respondents expected general business conditions to deteriorate in the year ahead. It compared with a 37.1 percent pessimism level in the previous poll in November.
A net 13.6 percent of respondents expected their own businesses to grow in the next 12 months, from 7.6 percent last month.
