SYDNEY (Reuters) - New Zealand business confidence fell in the September quarter, with an increase in businesses reporting reduced demand suggesting annual economic growth will slow to below 1% later this year, a private think tank said on Tuesday.
A net 40% of firms surveyed expected general business conditions to deteriorate, compared with 34% in the previous quarter, the New Zealand Institute of Economic Research's (NZIER) quarterly survey of business opinion showed.
The survey's measure of capacity utilisation was 92.4%, lower than the previous quarter's 93.7%.
