New York's tabloid journalists can hardly wait. A reality TV series based on the battle between the city's Daily News and the Post is scheduled to begin its six-week run on July 24. According to a pilot seen by Editor&Publisher staff, Tabloid Wars is a fast-paced show that provides an interesting glimpse behind the scenes at the Daily News. Three of the paper's staff emerge as stars: city reporter Kerry Burke, police reporter Tony Sclafani and gossip columnist George Rush who comes out with the immortal line: "Occasionally you can squeeze the genitalia of powerful people in New York and make them yell or threaten to sue you - and that's kind of a kick!"
