New York Giants to be without Golden Tate for Week 4 game vs. Redskins

News around the NFL broke earlier this week that the league had determined New York Giants WR Golden Tate’s 4-game suspension would be upheld after his appeal was denied.

Tate was suspended for the four games due to a violation of the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs. According to Giants Wire, Tate’s suspension will cost him roughly $1.79 million, and in that time he will not be allowed inside the team facility, nor will he be able to contact any team personnel.

This is all great news for the Washington Redskins, as the suspension is lifted one day after their Week 4 matchup with the division-rival Giants, thus giving them one less pass-catcher to gameplan against.

The Giants made waves earlier in the offseason by trading away star WR Odell Beckham Jr., which surely made the DB room in Washington rejoice. Now that New York’s next man up has been sidelined as well, the Redskins can feel confident going into Week 4.
