New York bar The Seneca is offering free Valentine's Day drinks if you bring a picture of your ex to shred

This Valentine’s Day, New Yorkers can earn free drinks - but not by proving their love or re-living their "meet-cute" story.

This February 14, Queens bar The Seneca is offering the ultimate anti-Valentine's Day celebration. All you need to do is bring a photo of your ex, shred it on site, and you'll be rewarded with the drink of your choice for free.

A visit to the Ridgewood coffee shop, bar, and restaurant (from the people behind Webster Hall) could be just the therapy you need after a messy break-up. In exchange for the shred you can pick out a beer, wine or craft cocktail.

It’s unclear if multiple exes will lead to a night to remember (or not remember, depending on how many exes you have) but it's worth venturing to a local drugstore to print at least one pic, even if it's just for the satisfaction of watching the shred.

Surely a better way to spend Valentine's Day than a night on the sofa stalking your ex on Instagram...
