It's going to be rather chilly tonight as revellers hit the town to bring in the New Year.
After a frosty start in the North East, the freezing fog will gradually move away and temperatures could reach around 5C.
There doesn't appear to be much risk of rainfall and skies are expected to be mainly sunny.

Tuesday
"A frosty start for many with a few isolated patches of fog or freezing fog gradually burning away.
"Otherwise a fine cold and crisp day everywhere, though predominantly sunny skies and calm winds will compensate for the lower temperatures. Maximum temperature 5°C."
Evening
"Temperatures will dip away again quickly under clear skies, allowing some moderate frost to form. There is likely to be slightly more fog and freezing fog patches developing as well. Minimum temperature -2°C."
