Whether you're watching the ball drop in Times Square or among the last to say goodbye to 2023 out west, there are a handful of New Year's Eve countdown specials that you can watch this year.

Of course, with New Year's Eve falling on a Sunday this year, football fans can spend their last hours of 2023 watching the NFL on Fox, NFL on CBS and, possibly right up to midnight for those on the east coast, Sunday Night Football. But if you want to party your way into the new year with a TV special, here are the big New Year's Eve shows that are available for US viewers this year.

While the ABC's New Year's Eve special still puts TV legend Dick Clark's name front and center, this is Ryan Seacret's show now. But it remains a TV staple on New Year's Eve, remaining one of the more popular options to ring in the new year.

But it won't just be the soon-to-be new Wheel of Fortune host ringing in the new year, as Rita Ora joins Seacrest in Times Square while Jeannie Mai hosts the Los Angeles portion of the broadcast. The special also features Dayanara Torres hosting a portion of the show from Puerto Rico.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Even with Ryan Seacrest 2024 is going to air in to blocks. The first live segment is going to start at 8 pm ET and run through 10 pm ET, at which point local news will air for viewers. Then the live broadcast returns at 10:30 pm ET and runs through the new year.

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Even with Ryan Seacrest airs on ABC, which makes it available to anyone who has a traditional cable subscription or TV antenna. However, if you now use live TV streaming services, ABC is carried by Fubo, Hulu with Live TV and YouTube TV.

If you find yourself traveling but don't want to miss any of the festivities, for the first time there is also going to be a live broadcast radio simulcast across 150 iHeartRadio stations and the iHeartRadio app.

Ryan Seacrest is the main host of ABC's New Year's Eve special, with this year marking his 19th time hosting the special. CBS is once again adding a little bit of country to New Year's Eve with its New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash. Taking place from the home of country music, the special will ring in the new year live for viewers on the east coast and in the central time zone, while airing on a delay for those out west.

Get started with Nashville's Big Bash at 7:30 pm ET/PT, take a half-hour break for your local news and then let the party continue at 10:30 pm ET/PT until just after 1 am.

Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen have become a New Year's Eve tradition in their own right, once again teaming up from Times Square for CNN.

"There's no one I’d rather spend New Year's Eve with and nowhere I'd rather be at midnight than New York’s Times Square," said Cooper. 

“Spending new years with my dear friend Anderson is my idea of a great time, and a happy tradition that I look forward to all year long," added Cohen.
