It's the start of a new year and, despite being a bank holiday, some people might just need to stock up.
If they aren't too hungover, that is.
Whether you're looking to get your first big shop of the year done or just need a few bits after eating your way through all the Christmas leftovers there's a good chance you'll find somewhere to shop on January 1, 2020.
Here are the shops that'll be open, along with their opening times, on New Year's Day.
Tesco
In Wales (as well as in England) Tesco Extras, Superstores and Metro stores open from 9am to 6pm on New Year's Day.

Asda
Asda will be open throughout most of the festive period with stores opening from around 10am to 5pm generally.
You can use the store finder tool on Asda's website to check when their local branch will be open.
Morrisons
Morrisons stores will be open from 9am until 6pm.
The cafes will be open from 9am until 3pm and the petrol stations will be open from 8am until 8pm.
Sainsbury's
Sainsbury's will be open over the New Year break but check for reduced opening hours here .
The bigger Sainsbury's stores will generally be open from 9am until 5pm while Sainsbury's Local stores will be open from 9am until 9pm.
Aldi
If you're looking to stock up on New Year's Day you won't be able to do so at Aldi.
All stores will be closed for the day and will be reopening on Wednesday, January 2, from 8am until 10pm.
Lidl
Lidl is also likely to be out of the question for New Year's Day.
