New Year, New You? This Is How To Actually Get Results With Your Money, According to a Ramsey Expert

Rachel Cruze

With the fireworks, fancy food platters and potential fibs about what resolutions you might undertake for 2026 in the rear-view mirror, at least one finance personality is encouraging her audience to change things up this year — at least if things aren’t going so well on the money front.

Rachel Cruze, daughter to finance guru Dave Ramsey and a core member of the Ramsey Solutions team, took to TikTok to share a bit of advice to those struggling with bills, budgeting and other fiscal basics.

Do Something Different With Your Money in 2026

Backgrounded by her car’s interior and wearing a cozy gray cardigan, Cruze captioned the video with the following text: “New results in 2026 won’t come from doing the same old thing. Sometimes trying something different is exactly what your money needs,” followed by a pitch for the Ramsey team’s money management app, EveryDollar.

“The new year, the new me. That’s the phrase everyone says. But listen: When it comes to your money, if it is a new year and a new you and you want new results with your money — then you have to do something different,” Cruze explained.

“This is the hardest part about money. Because if you don’t like where you are financially, then that means you can’t keep doing what you’ve been doing with money. You have to do something completely different,” she added.

The host of “The Rachel Cruze Show” then continued to emphasize the cornerstone concepts of her team’s big-picture wealth-building strategies. First: Making a comprehensive monthly budget tracking all income, expenses and debts so that you can “know where your income is going.”

Second: Getting out of debt. Countless callers to (and viewers of) the various Ramsey Solutions media outlets tell wallet-wrenching tales of seemingly insurmountable high-interest debt and Cruze was quick to note this as an all-too-common anxiety to tackle in 2026.

“Whatever it may be, making sure that you’re making changes to get a different result — remember that this new year, guys,” Cruze said.

The post quickly attracted over 1,300 likes and a number of comments. A few users joked about their poor bank balances and lack of recent raises, while one fan noted that the small tidbits of simple advice — as Cruze had just delivered — were more likely to “stick” than complicated or long-winded alternatives.
