Former Liverpool chief executive Peter Moore has revealed he will act as an advisor to new Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
The Hollywood stars completed their takeover of the National League club earlier this month after winning the approval of its Supporters’ Trust.
Moore tweeted: “I’ll provide help as an advisor to the club that gave me so many great moments in the historic seasons of the 70’s, and to the community in which I lived before leaving for the US…not be as an employee or in a full-time capacity, but just as someone that wants to give back.”
Moore, who has family connections in the north Wales town, joined Liverpool in June 2017 before relinquishing the role in August.
He has previously fulfilled executive roles with Reebok, Sega, Microsoft and EA Sports.
Reynolds and McElhenney will complete a sensational takeover of the Welsh club after supporters voted overwhelmingly in favour of their proposal.
A vote from the Wrexham Supporters Trust (WST) saw an overwhelming 98.6% back the takeover.
The two actors have already declared they want to make Wrexham a "global force".
"This is the third-oldest club on the planet and we don't see why it can't have a global appeal," said former Golden Globe-nominee Reynolds earlier this month.
"We want Wrexham to be a global force. Our intention is to become part of the Wrexham story rather than Wrexham becoming part of our story."
A mission statement added: "Our goal is to grow the team and return it to the EFL in front of increased attendances at an improved stadium.
"We want to provide comprehensive financial support for the manager and his coaching team and build a sustainable model which will attract the best players and staff to the Racecourse Ground."
The takeover of the National League side is thought to be worth around £2million.
