Ariana Grande wowed Thai fans with her four-octave soprano during her Bangkok debut concert last August. As with other fans across the world, her performance must have remained in the memory of Thai audiences, with many eager to see more of her singing prowess.

We don't know when the pretty girl will make a comeback, but the good news is that we at least have a chance to get up-close and personal with her wax figure, officially unveiled at Madame Tussauds Bangkok today and scheduled to remain permanently on display.
The life-size statue of the 25-year-old American pop singer and actress who two months ago released her fourth album, Sweetener, which topped many charts worldwide, is the newest star for the "World's Music Fest" zone that already contains the likes of Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Madonna, Michael Jackson, One Direction, Lady Gaga and Jay Chou.
The latest addition is presented along with a built-in performance set inspired by the elaborate tropical theme of the American Music Awards 2016, where Grande and Nicki Minaj hit the stage together to perform their song Side To Side.
Designed and crafted in London, the figure portrays the petite diva's usual styling -- her killer silvery mini-dress and signature high ponytail. Adding dimensions to the original star-studded experience, the built-in performance set coming with the figure features an LED-illuminated elaborate tropical set complete with sand and palm trees, reflecting the stage from the American Music Awards 2016.
The AMA vibe was not selected just because it is where the duet performance of Grande and Minaj took place, but AMA 2016 is also the year in which Grande won Artist of the Year -- making it the best way to celebrate one of Grande's many successes through the work of both Madame Tussauds' and her fans.
The unveiling today will take place at 1pm with two actresses -- Esther Supreeleela and Pimprapa Tangprabhaporn -- scheduled to come and celebrate with a special performance of their own. Big fans of Grande themselves, Esther will be performing her latest hit, No Tears Left To Cry, while Pimprapa will sing the all-time favourite Problem.
Madame Tussauds Bangkok is on the 4th floor of Siam Discovery, Rama I. Admission fee is 990 baht (790 baht for children aged three-11 years old).
