New version of Avengers: Endgame with extra footage arriving in cinemas

The ‘first truly great superhero movie ever made’, Avengers: Endgame, is being re-released in cinemas and this time, there’s even more to enjoy.

It’s been revealed that Avengers fans will be treated to bonus content when the film returns to theatres next week.

Director Kevin Feige confirmed that a version of the movie will be released on June 28 with an additional post-credit scene. Feige said fans can also expect “a few surprises” and a “tribute” at the end of the movie – details of why, or to whom have yet to be announced.

When asked by Screen Rant if there’ll be an extended cut of the movie made available for fans, the director said: "Not an extended cut, but there will be a version going into theaters with a bit of a marketing push with a few new things at the end of the movie.

“If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there'll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises."

Further info about what fans can expect has yet to be revealed, but whatever you do – don’t leave the cinema early next week.

Avengers: Endgame became the second-biggest grossing film of all time in the US after being released in April – the new version of the film could also help it overtake Avatar as the highest grossing film ever.

Endgame also holds the record for biggest ever opening weekend, after taking a staggering $1.2 billion globally.
