- The United States Department of Homeland Security has launched the “Families on the Fly” campaign to alleviate stress for families travelling through airports.
- The initiative features dedicated family lanes for TSA security, designed to reduce overall wait times and streamline the screening process.
- Families can also benefit from a discounted TSA PreCheck cost of $85 per person, down from $100.
- The campaign is currently implemented at Orlando International and Charlotte-Douglas International airports, with plans for expansion to several other US airports.
- Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem also indicated that changes to the amount of liquids travellers can carry in their hand luggage are under consideration.
