New trick shows how to keep pace with lightning-quick Aldi staff when they scan your shopping

It's become a familiar sight at Aldi stores in and around Edinburgh.

The shopping has been scanned through the checkout at lightning speed and is in a heap at the end of the conveyor. Customers can be seen furiously racing against some imaginary clock to pack their goods away while the checkout staff member, possibly satisfied with a new store record, watches on with interest – awaiting payment.

We've likely all felt that pressure before. For some it can become too much to handle and they end up heading away to the shelf to complete the job in private.

And that's why this new trick could well be a game-changer.

Twitter user @Jon_Fox_ shared his solution to this problem – ending these troublesome mind-games once and for all.

It might seem simple but the trick is to line your trolley with one of those giant IKEA shopping bags and loading it all in at a good pace – remembering to pack the heavy stuff at the bottom.

It's a strategy which could leave checkout staff stunned, and ensure quick and easy passage from store, to checkout to car.

Thanks @Jon_Fox_
