New Tottenham stadium: Spurs line up Inter Milan Legends for second test event

Tottenham are lining up Inter Milan Legends as the second visitors to their new stadium this month.

Spurs Legends are set to host the Italians in the stadium’s final test event on March 30, in front of around 45,000 supporters.

Spurs had planned to play Bayern Munich Legends in a test event last Autumn before the game was cancelled when the stadium hit delays.

Southampton’s Under-18s will be the first visitors to the 62,062-capacity stadium on March 24 in an academy fixture for the first test event.

Inter could include a host of big-name former stars, such as Francesco Toldo, Javier Zanetti, Marco Materazzi, Youri Djorkaeff and Hernan Crespo.

Regular Spurs Legends include Darren Anderton and David Howells and the club are likely to invite a host of stars, such as Jurgen Klinsmann, Teddy Sheringham and Chris Waddle.

Tickets will cost £10 for adults and £5 for concessions, and season ticket-holders will be entered into a ballot if they apply before Wednesday’s deadline.
