New Spurs 2019/20 Nike third shirt: Leaked image gives fans insight into stadium-inspired design

The new Premier League season is up and running with Tottenham clinching a late 3-1 victory over Aston Villa on the opening weekend.

It didn't look very good for Spurs going into the final 20 minutes as they trailed to John McGinn's early strike, yet they produced a fine turnaround courtesy of Tanguy Ndombele's fine effort and Harry Kane's double.

The game also saw the Lilywhites wear their brand new home shirt against Dean Smith's side for the first time in the league following it's unveiling in July.

With both the brand new home and away shirts proving very popular since their release, fans are now just waiting for the launch of the new third kit.

Twelve months ago the shirt was revealed on the day of the Premier League opener against Newcastle United, while the previous season fans had to wait until September to get a look at the design.

Mauricio Pochettino: My original plan did not work against Aston Villa

Well, Footy Headlines have published an image of the new third kit and it does match the information that some supporters have already seen online.

The shirt is predominantly bright blue with navy trim and logos, with the shorts and socks also the same colour.

The third kit also features an all-over print graphic that is inspired by the outside of their brand new stadium.

Another change to the latest top sees the return of the Nike Sportswear logo that the company previously used on football shirts in the 1990s.

Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain were two of the clubs in the past to have the logo on their shirts and it does give the new design a retro feel that will surely go down well with supporters.

Given Spurs are likely to wear either their brand new home or away kit for the upcoming trips to Man City, Arsenal, Leicester City and Brighton & Hove Albion, fans may have to wait a while before they see Kane and Co wearing it for the very first time.
