New Texans safety Tashaun Gipson happy to be coming home to Texas

Newly signed free agent safety Tashaun Gipson is elated to come back to the Lone Star State to continue his NFL career.

The new Houston Texans defensive back took to Instagram and expressed his emotions on being able to play for the reigning champions of the AFC South.

“GLORY be to GOD,” wrote Gipson. “Look at you! Texas boy coming home! Couldn’t be more excited about this opportunity here in [H-Town].”

Gipson signed a three-year, $22 million deal to switch from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Texans. The former 2012 undrafted free agent from Wyoming has played in 98 games for the Cleveland Browns and Jaguars, collecting 394 combined tackles, 20 interceptions, and 39 pass breakups. The club signed the Dallas Kimball High School product after 2018 starter, Tyrann Mathieu, signed with the Kansas City Chiefs.
