MANILA, Philippines – The 5th installment of Japanese reality show Terrace House will soon see a new batch of personalities joining the cast – among them, a 22-year-old with an umistakably Filipino name: Johnkimverlu Tupas.
Johnkimverlu is set to appear starting from the 26th episode of the current season, Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020. As of this writing, only the first 12 episodes of the season is available on Netflix Philippines.
Terrace House follows 6 strangers as they live in a house together – a bit like Pinoy Big Brother, except the cast members keep attending their day jobs, and can decide when they get to leave the house. When a cast member leaves, another person of the same gender comes in to replace him or her.
On YouTube, Terrace House released a video of the new cast member, where he can be heard saying his name, Johnkimverlu, and that he came to Japan from the Philippines when he was 8 years old.
The second part of Terrace House: Tokyo 2019-2020 is set to premiere on Netflix Philippines on Thursday, December 24, but this part doesn't include Johnkimverlu's debut just yet, so viewers will have to wait a little bit longer to meet this intriguing new Filipino reality star. – Rappler.com
