New tenant and £1.3m facelift for Birmingham office block

A Birmingham city centre office block has undergone a £1.3 million renovation and welcomed a new tenant.

Project management and recruitment specialist TXM Projects has relocated to Cornwall Buildings, in Newhall Street, which is now sporting a new look following the makeover.

Landlord Bruntwood Works said the work at the grade II-listed complex aimed to celebrate the historic building's Victorian heritage while adding contemporary interiors.

TXM Projects has taken two suites of serviced offices.

Rob Valentine, Birmingham director for Bruntwood Works, said: "Cornwall Buildings is a historic and iconic building in the heart of Birmingham so it was only right that the transformation did it justice.

"We've played heavily on the building's heritage in the design to create a space that celebrates its original features while creating the vibe of a boutique hotel that means our customers have a comfortable and relaxing space to work from - one they feel at home in."

The refurbishment was designed by Birmingham-based Associated Architects.
