A new takeaway app has been launched for Lanarkshire foodies.
Hamilton and Motherwell Eats (HAME) officially launched over the weekend with restaurants in Hamilton, Motherwell, Wishaw, Bellshill, Blantyre and Larkhall all signed up.
Among those restaurants and takeaway part of the official launch was The Notorious BRG in Wishaw.
Kieran Gillespie, from Hamilton and Motherwell Eats, was delighted with the launch event which took place at several stores across Lanarkshire.
He told Lanarkshire Live : “We are now up and running and we are very excited about it all.
“It’s a new chapter for all the local takeaways as we are based in the local community and we can promote them at a local level and help them grow their business.
“So far we have had some very good feedback and we look forward to working with them all.
“Our social media has been great and we are excited to see where we go over the next few months.”
Since the beginning of the pandemic, more and more emphasis has been placed on shopping locally.
Kieran believes this type of venture is exactly what is needed across the Lanarkshire area.
He added: “In the past year these apps have began to pop up. There is one in Paisley, Kilmarnock and Dumfermline.
“We believe that this will be a big hit not just with customers but takeaway owners as well.”
