New ramen restaurant to open in Glasgow city centre

Calling all fans of Japanese food - a brand new ramen restaurant is set to open in Glasgow city centre.

Ramen Ramen, a new project from team serving up 'slurp-tastic handmade ramen and sushi' at Maki & Ramen in Edinburgh since 2015, is due to throw open its doors this month on the junction of Bath Street and West Nile Street, the former home of Rumours Kopitiam.

A teaser video of the new venue by has been shared on Instagram with the comment: "Our 'elves' are working hard to make the Glasgow project come together bit by bit.

"Who's asked Santa for a Ramen Ramen this Christmas?"

A spokesperson for Ramen Ramen told Glasgow Live: "Born from our founder and head chef, Teddy Lee, passion for the Japanese dish and inspired by the fast-paced ramen bars in Japan.

"At Ramen Ramen, guests may experience ramen as it was meant to be – with thick, rich broth in perfect balance with fresh handmade noodles. The tasty bowls will be available with delicious sides such as pumpkin croquettes, gyoza and takoyaki."

An opening date is yet to be confirmed for the new eatery, however, for all updates you can follow Maki & Ramen on their Facebook page or on Instagram.
