After a busy summer, there's still no shortage of upcoming superhero movies on the way. Both Marvel Phase 6 and DCU: Chapter One are on the cusp of some major new releases in 2026 – including the first Avengers movie in over half a decade, which is a pretty big deal.
If The Fantastic Four: First Steps and Superman kicking off two new superhero cinematic chapters this year wasn't enough, we've got plenty more to look forward to, including new Spider-Man and Supergirl movies, a Superman and Lex Luthor team-up, and the big-screen debut of some more underrated heroes too.

New superhero movies (TBA)
Several upcoming superhero movies have been announced and are in various stages of pre-development. However, there's no guarantee that any of these (bar a few MCU and DC offerings) will make it to the big screen. But they're worth keeping an eye on, nonetheless!
Previous DC projects, such as Gotham City Sirens and Green Lantern Corps, are now dead under the new DC Studios regime. Co-CEO James Gunn announced the slate for DCU's Chapter One: Gods and Monsters in January 2023. But, a new Wonder Woman movie is on the way.
