Media studies, once one of the fastest-growing courses in British universities, is losing its appeal, according to figures explored by the Sunday Telegraph's education correspondent Julie Henry. This year's university applications show a 9.2% drop in the numbers seeking to study media studies. Conversely, maths is up by 11.6%.
