New street art mural unveiled at Pacific Quay development

Glasgow has added another colourful street art mural to its repertoire.

Danny McDermott, also known as EJEK, has created a bespoke mural at the new Prince's Quay development on the former site of the Garden Festival at Pacific Quay.

Danny is the artist behind some of the city's best street art including the series of mural at Strathclyde University to celebrate the Commonwealth Games and memorial to Stan Lee in the Gorbals.

His latest work adorns the hoardings around the CALA Homes development and brings elements of nature to the site.

Danny McDermott said: “This has been a great project to work on. The mural incorporates lots of elements of nature and the outdoors, which ties in perfectly with the fact that this development sits on the former site of the Garden Festival.

"There’s also a theme of regeneration and taking something old and derelict and turning it into something new and exciting, which is exactly what CALA is setting out to do here.”

The Prince's Quay development will see 203 new homes built on the site, including a mixture of apartments and townhouses.
