NL Leisure has opened a new spin studio at Wishaw Sports Centre, which is the biggest across all their venues.
The new state-of-the-art studio has 50 fitness bikes and can accommodate up to six classes each day.
Spin classes are becoming increasingly popular as they are designed to suit all different types of physical ability.
Gym manager Meghan Booth told Lanarkshire Live: "We had been planning a new spin studio for some time as our old one was starting to look a bit tired and old.
"It was a really quick turnaround from the planning stage to the finished result and it is looking great.
"We opened to members on Saturday and the response has been really good and we have had some really positive feedback.
"It's the biggest spin studio we have at NL Leisure just now too.
"I think spin classes are becoming more popular due to them being suitable for all fitness levels.
"They are all based on resistance and you are able to control the resistance to suit your own ability.
"The classes are also in a darker environment with the lights dimmed, which makes some people feel better and more confident about taking part.
"Classes are available to book now on our booking system and we also have an app for members."
