New Starfield mod fixes the space game’s clunky inventory management

The Starfield mods are rolling out in force already, and one of them aims to fix the space game’s clunky inventory interface. The mod, StarUI, streamlines your item management and makes it easier to see what you’re actually dealing with, and it comes from NexusMods user m8r98a4f2, who took on a similar task with a Fallout 4 inventory mod.

Like with most mods, Star UI only works with the game’s PC versions on Windows and Steam.

Normally, Starfield displays a list of items in a specific category on the left, with a big, detailed image of the item in the screen’s middle, and a slightly confusing mass of numbers and tags on the right in a little box. There’s no way to easily compare items or figure out mass and other characteristics at a glance. It’s especially annoying if you want to find an item’s value, since that location changes depending on whether you’re chatting with a vendor.

That annoyance is where StarUI comes in. StarUI sorts all this info into a table of rows and columns, so you can see weight, value, and more with a quick look and move things around more easily for selling and storing. There’s even a bigger scroll bar that replaces the teeny one Starfield shipped with.

Best of all, this Starfield mod doesn’t break anything else and works independently, which is handy seeing as some mods bust the game entirely.
