New Starbucks drive thru coming to Hamilton

A new Starbucks drive-thru is set to open within Hamilton retail park, creating 25 jobs in the town.

The popular coffee giant has secured land on New Park Street, next to the Mecca bingo building, where construction is currently underway.

It is estimated the new Starbucks, which is 1800 sq ft, will open in September and will offer sit in, take away, drive thru, deliveries and mobile order. It will complement Hamilton's existing Starbucks drive thru on Palace Grounds retail park.

Starbucks latest drive-thru is being brought to the town again by Glasgow-based OCO Westend, one of the firms longest licensed partners in the UK, who recently opened another new store in Polmadie.

Owner JJ O'Hara (Hamilton Advertiser)

Recent growth means OCO Westend, owned by JJ O'Hara, now employs 273 people across 13 stores in Scotland including Rutherglen and Paisley.
